Position Information
Lavington East Public School (LEPS), located in the northeastern part of Lavington, welcomes around 290 students, representing a diverse community from 17 different countries, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Uganda, and India. With a focus on nurturing individual potential, the school offers 14 classes—organised by stage groupings—that include three specialised support unit classes (two Multicategorical and one Autism-specific) to cater to the varied needs of our students. Among our students, 20% identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and 28% as students from a language background other than English (LBOTE), reflecting our rich cultural diversity.

We are seeking a 3 day a week Teacher Librarian to join our Release From Face to Face (RFF) team. As a member of our RFF team, you'll contribute to a supportive environment, prioritising the success and wellbeing of learners and their families. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Demonstrated expertise in managing and integrating digital technologies to enhance student learning, including proficiency in library management systems, digital resources, and emerging educational technologies.
Well-developed skills in managing student behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing, with a proven capacity to support students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and special needs.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

This is a permanent part-time position for 0.6FTE.
