Position Information

Yamba Public School is located on traditional Yaegl country, situated at the mouth of the Clarence River and is popular holiday, fishing and surfing destination. The school currently has an enrolment of approximately 300 students, with 62 students being Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander. The school has 12 mainstream classes and an IO/AU support class.

Yamba Public has a strong reputation for outstanding results in academic, sporting and cultural endeavours, with a focus on growth and attainment, wellbeing, collaboration and educational leadership. 

Yamba Public School draws from both the township and the surrounding areas. The school has significant programs in curriculum as well as student wellbeing.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approved and/or willing to teach - Approval to teach Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Library qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. 

Ability and willingness to support staff with the integration of ICT throughout the curriculum and in their administrative duties.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 

Special Notes

This is a permanent part-time position of 3 days per week, 0.60FTE equivalent.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months
