Position Information

Eschol Park Public School is located in South West Sydney on Dharawal land and serves a diverse community. It is part of the St Andrews Network of schools for the Department of Education.

 

350 students are enrolled at Eschol Park Public School where students from a Language Background Other Than English (LBOTE) make up 39% of the school population and 11% of students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in mainstream classes.  Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.

 

2. Proven capacity to implement inclusive wellbeing and behaviour support practices that create safe, supportive and culturally responsive learning environments that enhance student engagement, wellbeing and positive behaviour.

 

3. Demonstrated ability to work alongside teachers to evaluate students progress and utilise data to plan, implement and evaluate effective personalised learning and support plans that reflect academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs and aspirations of the students.

 

4. Demonstrated capacity to develop positive relationships and establish effective partnerships with families, community, support agencies and colleagues to achieve improved outcomes for students.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
