Cessnock East Public School is situated in the township of Cessnock, in the Hunter Valley. The school has an enrolment of 215 students divided into 10 classes. 45% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The majority of families speak English at home, with 7% of students using English as an Additional Language/Dialect at home. Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers

 

Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to develop and implement effective learning and wellbeing adjustments through Behaviour Support Plans, Personalised Learning and Support Plans, and Personalised Learning Plans. 

 

Proven ability to analyse and use student performance data to inform interventions and monitor progress.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
