Successful applicants may:
Upskill on the job with two years of supported teaching experience, or
Apply for a Teach and Learn Scholarship (TAS) and receive financial support while completing recognised university-level study, while working.

Trangie Central School has an enrolment of 172 students, ranging from kindergarten to Year 12, with 48% of students identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school is located 72km west of Dubbo, with agriculture being one of the main local industries.

Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Technology Mandatory Timber and Metal or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Technology and Applied Studies qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
2. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
3. Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
4. Willingness to undertake innovative enrichment programs that are inclusive of a Central School environment.
5. Commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policies.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
