Position Information

Rouse Hill High School is a comprehensive high school in the growing northwest Sydney area. In 2025, it is expected that student numbers will reach 1410 with a teaching staff of 92. Additional to our mainstream, the school has one autism class. Stage six students study the Higher School Certificate using the compressed curriculum model. The school has a focus on collaborative practice to improve teaching practice and student outcomes. There is a strong culture of allowing staff opportunities for growth and development through whole school initiatives and leadership roles. The school is supported by small but active P&C.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach HSC Modern History, History ( 7-10) and Geography (7 - 10).  

2. Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative teaching and learning programs to engage a diverse range of students. 

3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty members to drive faculty and whole school initiatives.

4. Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
