Position Information
Pendle Hill High School is a vibrant and inclusive Years 7 to 12 co-educational school with an enrolment of 780 students from the Wentworthville, Pendle Hill, Westmead and Toongabbie communities. A rapidly growing school enrolment includes 59% of students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as students with a range of learning support needs.
Our school has a high potential and gifted education class in each of Years 7 to 10, as well as an expanding Support Unit.

A recently completed major building and refurbishment project has provided new facilities such as a modern Library and resource centre, lecture theatre, seminar and multimedia spaces as well as outdoor learning spaces and flexible classroom spaces. We provide a broad curriculum for our students, taking advantage of our new facilities and flexible learning approaches.
Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Business Studies, Legal Studies, Society and Culture and Commerce with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the classroom environment and implement high-quality teaching and learning practices, including explicit teaching strategies.
3. Capacity to work collaboratively as an effective team member and contribute to faculty and whole-school programs and initiatives, including curriculum planning and implementation.
4. Enthusiastic and proactive educator with a demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships that engage and inspire students, colleagues and parents so that student learning and wellbeing outcomes improve.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
