Position Information
Macarthur Girls High School (MGHS) is in Parramatta, the demographic centre of Sydney, on the banks of the Parramatta River. Over 90% of our students are from language backgrounds other than English. Macarthur Girls High School’s purpose is to encourage young adults to achieve their personal best and beyond, empowering them with the necessary skills to be successful citizens in an ever-changing world.
Specific Selection Criteria
  1. Approval to teach Business Studies, Geography (7-10) and Commerce. Approval and/or willingness to teach Legal Studies. Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Business Services providing the qualification entry benchmark is met.
  2. Ability to plan, implement and evaluate quality teaching and learning programs.
  3. Capacity to develop engaging and challenging differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
  4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and contribute to a dynamic faculty.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
