Position Information
Erskine Park High School is a comprehensive Western Sydney school located in the Eastern Creek network of schools. The school’s 830 enrolment includes 5% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and a further 30% of students who come from backgrounds where English is an Additional Language or Dialect. The school has seven Inclusive Education classes and is committed to holistic education that supports the emotional, physical and cognitive development of all students. The school is focused on explicit teaching which includes a whole school approach to writing, reading and numeracy. Extensive professional learning programs are offered to build the capacity of all staff and growth coaching is a focus area. The school is a member of the St Clair Erskine Park community of schools and school staff are supported by a wide range of community partnerships.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Geography. Approval and/or willing to teach Legal Studies and Business Studies

Highly developed communication skills with the ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families.

Ability to work collaboratively within a faculty and across the school with a commitment to developing quality teaching and learning programs, lessons and resources.

Well-developed classroom practice that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs.

Commitment to the cultural and educational needs of Aboriginal students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
