Position Information

Bellingen High School is located in the Bellinger Valley and draws students from both within the town and the surrounding rural areas. It is a coeducational 7-12 comprehensive high school with a current enrolment of 546 students, of which 62 are Aboriginal. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Gumbaynggirr people.
The school has a tradition of high academic, sporting and cultural achievements. The school enjoys strong support from the community.

Specific Selection Criteria
  1. Approval to teach geography (7-10) and history (7-10), legal studies and business studies.

  2. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the faculty, whole school, and the wider community, to enhance student engagement and develop a culture of high expectations.

  3.  Demonstrated ability to differentiate curriculum and develop innovative, engaging teaching and learning programs, that cater for a diverse range of students. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
