Position Information
Schools and parents are responsible for maintaining the regular attendance of students at school. The Home School Liaison Program assists schools and parents in fulfilling this responsibility.
The Home School Liaison Program is managed and coordinated by Delivery Support staff across the state.
Specific Selection Criteria
Teaching qualifications and recent successful experience in schools.
Demonstrated experience in student welfare, including implementation of attendance policy and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to liaise with schools, students, parents and agencies.
Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team to implement attendance initiatives.
Conditions
Temporary appointment for three years (until 23rd April 2027).
Ability and willingness to travel between worksites.
Salary as for teachers, plus HSLO allowance. The appointee will be required to attend a training program in Sydney. Other conditions as outlined in Schedule 10 of the Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2020.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to confirm vaccination status prior to the department finalising their appointment and entry on duty.
