Position Information
Rouse Hill High School is a comprehensive High School with 1240 students and a teaching staff of 96. In 2027, in addition to our mainstream, the school will have one autism class and two support classes. Stage six students study the Higher School Certificate using the compressed curriculum model. The school has a focus on collaborative practice to improve teaching practice and student outcomes. The school is supported by small but active P&C.
Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Food Technology and Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in VHO-Hospitality- Commercial Cookery (VET), providing the qulaification entry benchmark is met.
2. Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member of a diverse faculty and a commitment to whole school programs.
3. Proven ability in classroom management and the capacity to manage practical workspaces to ensure student safety, particpation and engagement to enhance student learning opportunities.
4. Well- developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with satff, students and the community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
