Hawkesbury High School is a comprehensive, co-educational high school, located in a semi-rural setting in the Hawkesbury District in Northwest Metropolitan Sydney. The school has 470 students in Years 7 – 12, including 11% Aboriginal students. The school has strong connections with the local community and is supported by a proactive and engaged parent body. The school has a strong focus on academic, vocational and wellbeing programs and it enjoys a strong and sustainable learning partnership with local primary schools. Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach  English 7-12 with knowledge of assessment, curriculum and reporting requirements.

  • Ability to contribute actively to the design, implementation and evaluation of high-quality teaching and learning programs, creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse range of students. 
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management skills and practices that support student outcomes
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the English faculty

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
