Position Information

Eagle Vale Sports High School is a comprehensive high school in the Campbelltown district of Sydney, proudly serving the communities of Eagle Vale, Kearns, Claymore, Eschol Park, Blair Athol and Blairmount. With a population of 770 students, consisting of 45 percent from non-English speaking backgrounds and 11 percent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, the school is a vibrant, culturally diverse community.

We are committed to sustaining a culture of high expectations in learning and wellbeing, supported by strong partnerships with our local primary schools — Claymore, Blairmount, Eschol Park and Kearns Public Schools. Our dedicated and experienced staff teach in a technology-rich environment, with specialised Learning and Support and English as an additional language or dialect  teams providing targeted assistance to meet the needs of all students.

In 2025, Eagle Vale High School became a partially selective high school with HPGE targeted sports program, the premier sports school for the Macarthur region. In 2026, we offer specialised programs in Basketball, Cricket and Rugby League for Years 7–10, and Football (Soccer) and Netball for Year 7 students, fostering sporting excellence alongside academic achievement.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach English 7 – 12.

2. Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, differentiated teaching programs for a diverse range of learners that fosters a culture of high expectations.

3. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within the English faculty and contribute to whole school and faculty priorities.

 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
