Position Information
Cartwright Public School is in Southwest Sydney within the Liverpool region. The school has an enrolment of 227 students, with 76% of students from a language background other than English and 8.7% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The school consists of 9 mainstream classes and 7 support unit classes. Students come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and the school is supported through Equity funding, which is strategically utilised to provide additional support programs and educational initiatives that enhance student learning outcomes.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach English as an additional language or dialect or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in English as an additional language primary or dialect qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to support the literacy and English language skills of EAL/D students, including New Arrival students.
Demonstrated ability to create a classroom environment that supports students in an inclusive and engaging manner, enhancing a culture of high expectations.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build positive relationships with the learning support team, classroom teachers and the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
