Position Information

Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1450 students, including 67% students from a language background other than English. It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort and a support unit. The college has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, Cultures of Thinking, collaborative teacher professional learning, student voice, social justice programs and a creative and positive learning environment. The college has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs.

Specific Selection Criteria

1.    Approval to teach Industrial Technology Engineering Studies. 

2.    Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a dynamic faculty team to design, develop, implement, and review teaching and learning programs and assessments.

3.    Ability to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments that engage students with a diverse range of student learning needs including HPG and EAL/D.

4.    Willingness to contribute to faculty and whole school co-curricular programs and activities. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. Conditions apply.
