Blacktown Boys High School (Years 7–12) is a partially selective public school located on Darug land, within walking distance of the Blacktown CBD. With an enrolment of approximately 908 students, the school embraces a diverse student body, including 22.8% from non-English speaking backgrounds and 1.8% Aboriginal students. The school offers a range of educational pathways through its academically selective stream, High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) class, mainstream classes, and an Inclusive Education Unit.

Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Economics and a willingness to teach Legal Studies, with a proven ability to deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences that promote high achievement.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing innovative, data-informed teaching programs that integrate literacy, numeracy, technology, and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborative and proactive member of the HSIE faculty, contributing effectively to faculty planning and assessment design.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
