Position Information

Springwood High School is proudly comprehensive in nature and purpose, with a current enrolment of 605 students, 8% of students are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, offering challenging and diverse learning opportunities with high expectations of all. The senior school is currently transitioning out of the Combined Senior Curriculum (CSC) model to a conventional HSC delivery model. Our school also has an off-campus support unit located at Glenbrook that is comprised of three classes.

Specific Selection Criteria

  1. Approval to teach Dance 7-12 and a willingness to teach PDHPE
  2. Proven ability to design and deliver dynamic and engaging teaching programs that cater to a wide range of student interests, abilities and backgrounds.
  3. Ability to use effective classroom management strategies to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and the community through extra curricular opportunities within the Creative and Performing Arts.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 This is a permanent part-time position of 3 days per week, 0.6FTE (full time equivalent).
