Position Information
Liverpool Public School was established in 1863 and is built on the traditional lands of the Cabrogal of the Darug Nation. The school serves a diverse community, 90% of our 580 students come from a language background other than English. The school is proud of its varied multicultural population, with 67 cultural backgrounds represented, 20% of our students have been impacted by the refugee experience and 1% of the student population identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders. The school holds high expectations for all students.
Our teachers are outstanding educators who collaboratively develop and implement effective teaching and learning programs based on evidence-informed content and pedagogy. Explicit, systematic and sequential teaching of fundamental literacy and numeracy skills underpins all decisions made for our students. Our school receives significant equity funding which is used to support students academically, socially and emotionally through targeted intervention programs. Our school offers a range of extra-curricular activities.

Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Community Language Hindi with experience in primary (K-6) and knowledge of the Modern Languages Syllabus and Hindi language and culture.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of explicit teaching and ongoing assessment and feedback with proven ability to engage and differentiate the curriculum to meet the learning needs and strengths of a diverse range of learners.
3. Demonstrated capacity to develop engaging learning environments and implement evidence-based behaviour and classroom management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
4. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and the wider community to support student outcomes and promote a positive school culture.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
