Position Information
Chullora Public School is a diverse K–6 setting of approximately 401 students, serving a low SES, high LBOTE community where 99% of students come from a language background other than English and around 24 languages are spoken at home. The school has a total of 6 students from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds across K-6. The school includes 18 mainstream classes and a 3-class Inclusive Education Unit supporting students with autism and additional learning needs.
Staff are committed to explicit teaching and high expectations, with a strong focus on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. The school is well supported by engaged families, a committed P&C, and strong partnerships with external agencies that enhance student wellbeing and learning.
Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Arabic Community Language (K-6), demonstrating the implementation of a high-quality engaging curriculum. 

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. 

Proven experience in designing and delivering differentiated learning programs, catering to the needs of a diverse range of learners. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
