Position Information
Condell Park Public School was established in 1950 and is situated near Bankstown Airport in south-western Sydney. The school has approximately 590 students from diverse cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our teaching and learning, student well-being and parent programs are designed to address our community's needs. The school invests heavily in teacher professional learning and innovative teaching practices. Condell Park Public School focuses on data driven decision making in all areas of the curriculum, with a major focus on literacy and numeracy. Approximately 89% of our students are from a language background other than English. Many students benefit from community language instruction in Arabic and Vietnamese. The whole community are partners in collective decision making and student voice and parental engagement in learning are highly valued. Exemplary teachers utilise evidence-based research, data analysis and reflective practices to create learning experiences that inspire, challenge students and continually drive whole school improvement. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) AND Community Languages (Arabic) with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to develop innovative and highly engaging language programs.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering differentiated learning programs, catering to the needs of a diverse group of learners.
- Effective behaviour management strategies that contribute to a positive learning environment and enhance student engagement and well-being across the school.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
Applicants seeking permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. The recommended applicant will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE (up to the maximum FTE of the advertised position). Applicants on the eligibility list will be offered the remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept.
