Holroyd High School is a small, successful comprehensive high school with a enrolment of 600 students across the High School, Support Unit and Intensive English Centre, including 86% non-English speaking backgrounds.  As a proudly diverse and inclusive institution, we place a strong emphasis on Visible Learning to build high expectations for all students, and Choice Theory to foster a nurturing environment where all can thrive. 
A successful Careers Adviser at Holroyd High School is a highly relational, student-focused practitioner who empowers young people to make informed, confident, and aspirational post-school decisions. They play a critical role in ensuring every student has access to clear pathways, timely advice, and equitable opportunities, particularly within our diverse school community.
Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach, careers adviser qualifications and experience in providing high quality career information and advice.

2. Demonstrate knowledge of career pathways and strong organisational skills to coordinate School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT), tertiary education, TVET courses and work experience including structured workplace training for students.

3. Well-developed interpersonal skills to initiate, implement, manage and evaluate all aspects of successful careers options and transition pathways in conjunction with our Wellbeing Team, industry and external providers.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
