Sandgate District State High School has been providing a comprehensive co-educational secondary education for young people in the north eastern bayside suburbs of Brisbane since 1959.

About the Role

Position: ITD Teacher Aide (Workshop)

Reports to Line Manager: John Dillon (ITD HoD) & Kirsten Tuckett (BM)

Purpose: The Sandgate District SHS ITD Workshop Teacher Aide's (TA) role is to aid and assist in the running of the ITD department. TA will take on primarily a tools and resources preparation role, and will assist in workshops where required/requested. They will provide support within the ITD department to ensure operational practices meet legislative codes, all practical components of ITD courses are able to be completed with the required materials provided in a timely manner, and to support ITD staff.

People: Within the role you will report to the Technologies HoD, and key stakeholders.

Vision: To source/provide materials as requested by ITD HoD, routinely inspecting SOPs to ensure that they are meeting legislative requirements, maintaining workshops to a high-quality industry standard, and actively assisting staff within the ITD department as directed by ITD HoD. They will demonstrate a professional manner at all times, including a commitment to ongoing professional development.
