Your Responsibilities
As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the teacher to deliver a play-based, approved kindergarten program that promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development.
- Always maintain duty of care during classroom, outdoor and transition activities.
- Support inclusion: Assist children with additional or diverse learning needs to fully participate in the program.
- Provide input on children's learning and behaviour to support planning and reporting.
- Set up, clean and pack away learning spaces and resources, following hygiene and safety procedures.
- Support respectful communication with children, families and staff, valuing cultural diversity.
- Help children with daily routines and transitions.
- Collaborate with the teacher and participate in meetings, training and professional learning.
- Adhere to Education Queensland departmental guidelines, Child Protection requirements and maintain current Blue Card and First Aid qualifications.
