Your opportunity:
- Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers and students with classroom, sporting and excursion activities
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and small-group/individual learning support
- Support students with additional needs, including personal care where required and appropriately trained
- Assist with student supervision, including playgrounds, buses and educational activities
- Prepare, organise and maintain teaching resources, equipment and materials
- Assist with clerical and administrative tasks, including records, rolls and exam preparation
- Maintain student records and anecdotal observations to support student development
- Contribute to student health, safety and wellbeing, including first aid when qualified
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of the school team
- Demonstrate empathy, confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity when supporting students and families
- Assist with practical activities, including science, cooking and textile classes
- Support students in accessing reference materials and technology

The role would best suit applicants who:
- have experience supporting students with diverse and complex needs
- demonstrate resilience, initiative, and calm behaviour under pressure
- are comfortable working in high-demand educational settings
- can maintain consistency with behaviour support plans and routines
- support students during classroom and literacy activities, including floor/carpet-based learning sessions
- assist students with personal care and behavioural regulation
- work in a physically active environment requiring frequent movement, bending, kneeling and transitions between learning spaces
