Palmview State Secondary College is situated on Village Green Boulavard, Palmview. As a partner in the Palmview Learning Community, the secondary college is co-located adjacent to Palmview State Primary School and Palmview State Special School.

Your Role:

  • Experience with and knowledge of woodwork and metalwork machinery.
  • Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.
  • Working with small groups as well as individual students.
  • Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
  • Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
  • Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families.

You may also be called upon to:

  • Assist with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
  • Undertake clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and programs, photocopying teaching materials, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students' results records, assisting in organising off-site activities.
  • Assist in preparing, storing, distributing and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
  • Contribute to the welfare, health and safety of students, including the delivery of first aid.
