About the Role
In your role as a Teacher Aide, your duties will include, but are not limited to,
- assisting and supporting teachers with preperation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities, assisting students and teachers with sporting activities and school excursions.
- Assisting with management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
- Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing students development.
- Assisting teaching staff with playground and bus supervision.
- Clerical assistance duties including, photocopying, recording of exam results, compiling students results records and assisting in organising off site activities.
About You
- Display respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
- Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to parents and their families.
- Working with small groups as well as indivual students.
- Have a willingness to undertake specific training to enhance student supports as necessary.
- Have a basic understanding of occupational health and safety and the ability to work with others in a team or individually.
Have or be prepared to obtain a Blue Card and consent to a Criminal History Check
