About Burnett State College:

Burnett State College caters for students from Years 7 to 12 with a range of innovative programs. While the junior school predominantly serves the Gayndah District, the senior school also caters for students who have completed their junior education at the Secondary Departments in Eidsvold, Mundubbera and Biggenden. Burnett State College incorporates Gayndah State High School and Wide Bay Institute of TAFE.

About the role:

As the Teacher Aide, you will:

  • Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide quality food production and food preparation duties and cleaning duties.
  • Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.
  • Follow procedure regarding food preparation and adhere to daily menu plans.
  • Ensure that malfunctioning equipment is reported to the Business Manager in a prompt manner using appropriate paper work.
  • Follow Workplace Health and Safety Practices to ensure that the kitchen and equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and hygienic manner.
  • Promote a safe, secure environment for staff, students and visitors.
