About the Role

  • Within this role you will support students with disabilities to engage with the curriculum in a main stream classroom and may include working with students across all year levels Prep to Yr 6;
  • Engaging with students who have complex behaviour needs, utilising Trauma Informed Practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting and supporting students with special needs in the classroom, at specialist subject lessons and during break times.
  • Providing support to students with complex behaviour needs
  • Supporting teachers with organising teaching and learning resource requirements

About You

  • Strong communicator, displays respect and empathy to both students and their families;
  • Disability support work experience, particularly for primary aged students, will be highly regarded;
  • Experience in supporting students with complex behaviours.
