Position Information
Orange High School has proudly provided high-quality learning experiences to students in Central Western NSW for over 100 years. Today, we educate up to 1000 students, 12% of whom are Aboriginal, from within the regional city of Orange and its rural surroundings on Wiradjuri country. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Agriculture and demonstrated willingness to actively participate in all aspects of the school’s agricultural farm, including planning, management, and integration of practical farm activities into the curriculum.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively within a team to support student engagement and achievement in Agricultural studies.
- Ability to develop and adapt agricultural programs and learning experiences to meet the needs of a diverse range of students, including incorporating current industry practices and sustainability principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Department of Education’s Aboriginal Education policies, including the ability to foster an inclusive learning environment that acknowledges and respects Aboriginal histories, cultures, and perspectives within agricultural education.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
