About this job
At Story House Early Learning, our mission is to be the leading childcare operator in Australia, providing our children the best possible start in life and our team a fulfilling and rewarding career.
To deliver on that, we need great people, and we need to hire them the right way.
We’re on the lookout for a Talent Acquisition Partner who gets the responsibility that comes with hiring in a child safe, highly regulated environment, but still genuinely loves people. Someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, cares about doing things properly, and takes pride in delivering recruitment that’s compliant, values-led and human.
If you like structure, enjoy working with autonomy, and get real satisfaction from running a tight process with great attention to detail, you’ll feel right at home here.
Why choose Story House
We’re growing, but we stay close to our people. Your work won’t disappear into the background, it will be seen, valued and genuinely appreciated.
You’ll work in a flexible hybrid setup, spending three days a week in our modern Cannon Hill support office and two days at home. There’s easy parking, great lunch spots and coffee nearby, and an inclusive culture where you’re encouraged to be yourself and make a real impact, piece by piece.
The impact you’ll make
Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, you’ll support recruitment and onboarding across our national network. You’ll partner closely with leaders to deliver fair, transparent and best-practice hiring outcomes, while helping uplift recruitment capability across the business.
It’s fast paced and process driven, so accuracy, sound judgement and strong relationships all matter just as much as getting things done.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing end-to-end recruitment from advertising through to offer and onboarding
- Providing clear, consistent advice aligned to recruitment policy, procedure and best practice
- Coordinating shortlisting, interviews and offers with a strong focus on candidate experience
- Ensuring recruitment processes are compliant, well documented and audit ready
- Managing competing priorities autonomously and meeting agreed timeframes
- Using ATS, HR systems and data to support quality hiring outcomes
- Supporting employer branding and talent initiatives as required
Let’s talk about you
We’re open to candidates at different stages of their TA journey. If you’re experienced, you’ll already be confident delivering best-practice recruitment. If you’re earlier in your career, this is where you’ll build and strengthen those skills.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in talent acquisition or HR, or a strong foundation with the ability to grow
- A working knowledge of candidate selection and sourcing methods
- Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills – we are a fun team!
- Confidence using HRIS, ATS and MS Office, including Excel
- High attention to detail and comfort working within defined processes
- Experience using social media to engage and attract talent
A valid Blue Card and National Police Check are required for this role, or a willingness to obtain them. We will support and fund this process.
