We are seeking 2 experienced Support Teachers Inclusive Education (STIE) for a full-time continuing position, commencing January 2025.
The positions are STIE Junior Years (4-6) and STIE Middle and Senior Years (7-12).
One will function as a Program Leader Learning Support (P-12) (Tier 2 Middle Leader) in addition to STIE duties and the other will undergo regular STIE duties.
In collaboration with parents and teachers, you will support students across the full range of abilities and needs, to meet specific learning needs. You will implement inclusive and effective teaching and learning strategies to engage and improve education outcomes of supported students.

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Support Teacher Inclusive Education & Learning Leader Support as well as:
  • A strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs)
  • An understanding of the NCCD process
  • Involvement with BCE Strategies and practices which influence student progress and achievement
  • An ability to oversee and deliver a range of mapping and planning functions to support inclusive education practices
  • An ability to attend to innovative and creative teaching practices
  • A proven capacity to work as part of a team
  • A willingness to share knowledge and skills through professional development, consultation and advice
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
