Supply Teaching Assistant - Harlow Ad hoc / Day-to-Day Work Pay: £85-£115 per day (dependent on experience)

Veritas Education is currently recruiting experienced Supply Teaching Assistants to support a large, inclusive primary academy in Harlow on an ad hoc, day-to-day basis.

The school is a well-established academy with a diverse pupil population and a strong focus on inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and positive behaviour. It has a supportive and well-structured environment, with clear routines and experienced leadership teams who value the contribution of support staff. The school offers a busy but rewarding setting where Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting learning both in and out of the classroom.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you may be asked to:

  • Support pupils in class under the direction of the class teacher
  • Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including pupils with additional needs
  • Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Support learning across the curriculum, including core subjects
  • Help ensure pupils remain engaged, safe, and supported throughout the school day

    • The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Be confident supporting learning and behaviour in a classroom environment
  • Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different year groups and classroom settings
  • Be able to build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff
  • Have a calm, patient, and professional approach
