Veritas Education are currently working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across Wakefield to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers. These roles offer flexibility and are ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking to gain experience across a variety of school settings.

You will be delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas, maintaining strong classroom management, and ensuring a positive learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups
  • Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher
  • Provide feedback to schools on pupil progress where required

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
