About the role - We are looking for an energetic, empathetic and community-minded professional to join our Student Wellbeing Team as a Student Wellbeing Officer (SWO), responsible for providing general pastoral care and wellbeing support to students.

The Student Wellbeing Officer supports and is a role model for students, enhancing engagement with the broader community and parents. The Student Wellbeing Officer’s focus is on providing effective Tier 1 supports, general strategies and interventions aimed at promoting overall student wellbeing. The SWO will be working both within and outside the classroom itself. 

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV qualification in Pastoral Care, Youth Work, equivalent or higher certificate with at least two competencies in mental health,
  • Making appropriate referrals,
  • Working with young people on cultural awareness and support.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
