Position: Cover Teacher

Role Overview:

As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will manage classroom behaviour, ensure students stay on task with their learning activities, and provide support to students as needed. This role is ideal for graduates who are considering a career in teaching or education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Ensure that students remain on task with the work that has been set.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, particularly in sports-related subjects.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a love for sports and physical activity.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Sports or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
