Good Samaritan Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College located at Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. The College opened in 2019 and is steadily growing towards full enrolment of approximately 1500 students. The first seniors will graduate from the College in 2024. We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified person to join our comprehensive Sports Department as an Administration Assistant. The Sports Administration Assistant is responsible for various administrative and operational tasks related to College sporting events and programs. Key responsibilities include:
Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for sporting events by liaising with staff, students, and parents, ensuring effective communication regarding schedules, permissions, and results. Work closely with and proactively within the Sports Department on all aspects of a dynamic sport program within our college.
Event Management: Organize and oversee the logistics of sporting carnivals, including bus bookings, equipment preparation, staff rosters, and post-event tasks. Use software for accurate results recording.
Team Administration: Manage permissions and communication for College sporting teams. Assist in maintaining uniform records and liaise with coaches and team leaders.
Digital Engagement: Maintain and update Social Media accounts with relevant information on teams, results, and events.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Compile and maintain databases of student achievements and sports results for annual awards and school events.
General Administration: manage inventory for sports uniforms, organize travel arrangements for teams, liase with external providers and the wider community, and ensure efficient operation of the Sport Department’s facilities.
