Speech & Language Support Assistant
Middlesbrough£95 - £115 per dayFull-Time | Long-Term Temporary RoleSeptember 2026 StartVeritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Middlesbrough seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Support Assistant to join their team from September.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs, helping them to develop confidence, build relationships and access learning successfully within the classroom environment.
The Role:
Provide targeted support to pupils with speech, language and communication difficultiesDeliver interventions under the guidance of teaching staff and SEN professionalsSupport pupils on a 1:1 and small group basisEncourage positive communication, engagement and social interactionWork closely with teachers, SEND staff and parents to support pupil progress, prepare appropriate visuals and resources for lessons.Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needsBackground in education, childcare, care, psychology, speech and language, health and social care or a related fieldPatient, nurturing and resilient approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsPassion for supporting children to reach their full potentialEssential Requirements:
