St Teresa's Catholic College is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Specialist Instrumental Tutor in Voice to guide and direct students in our Instrumental Music Program.
We are seeking an applicant who is available to commence in Term 1 2025.
Initially, one day of work during the week, as we anticipate growth in the program with more students in the 2025 Year 7 intake.
The successful applicant would have a proven track record of encouraging new students and continuing to engage and motivate established students learning to perform and sing.
Your accountabilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Delivery of the St Teresa's Catholic College Instrumental Music Program, linked to the contexts studied within classroom music
- The ability to demonstrate high quality interpersonal skills and current exemplary tutoring practice
- The ability to communicate with staff, students and parents in a timely and respectful manner
- Ability to motivate all students at differing levels of ability and implement appropriate adjustments and differentiation where required
- Teaching small group tuition within your discipline
- Work collaboratively with leadership teams, other instrumental tutors and secondary Music Teachers to ensure the smooth running of school performances and events
- Identification of maintenance required on instruments and providing basic maintenance where possible
- Willingness to work outside regular school hours for performances and events
- Other administrative tasks as required
Student numbers determining lesson loads are subject to enrolment requests.
Essential Criteria:
- A Tertiary Qualification in Music, or currently studying Music at Tertiary level
- Experience in staging performance events
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel
