About the Role:

I am currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join my partner secondary school within Kirklees starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to students across various age groups, fostering a love for the language and culture, and contributing to the overall academic success of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the different learning styles of students.
  • Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with the school's policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
  • Provide pastoral support to students as needed.

    • Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level is desirable.
  • Excellent command of the Spanish language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
