About the Role
The Service Desk Officer role will provide effective support, administration and management of school and office-based ICT systems, policies and procedures while working closely within CEDB teams.
The Service Desk Officer’s day-to-day may consist of the following:
- Providing support to staff and students for their learning and teaching needs.
- Enhancing the vision of ICT Services as a service provider for schools.
- Promoting self-sufficiency and efficiency through empowering users with ICT services.
- Monitoring and managing tickets, ensuring effective reporting and continual service improvement
- Gathering user feedback to innovate and improve services
- Participating in ICT initiatives
- Providing training for applications, systems, and equipment as needed
About You (Selection Criteria)
The new Service Desk Officer will support the CEDB’s success by meeting the following selection criteria:
- Well-developed written and interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of user roles, groups and permissions.
- Experience in supporting platforms including Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, iOS and Google ChromeOS.
- Experience supporting a Google Workspace environment.
- Support of network-based printers and photocopiers.
- General Audio-Visual experience across projectors, displays, audio and PA systems.
- A willingness to support the mission and purpose of Catholic education within the Bathurst Diocese
