Your Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with management to establish and implement an inhouse testing methodology, including assessment of risk, aligning to the Software Development Lifecycle and ICT release management processes where appropriate, with the intent to implement consistent processes relating to:
- The development, implementation and maintenance of test strategies and guides, estimates, schedules, defects registers and processes where required
- Alignment and facilitation of agreed testing processes including obtaining approvals and advising of required documentation
- Liaison with business, IT partners, the Senior Change Lead and Change Requestors on test scheduling and communication of progress, informing OneSchool critical business activities and ensuring the visibility of cross-business impacts to a range of stakeholder groups.
- Interpretation of requirements, and scripting and execution of test scripts to test new and amended software or services using agreed methods and standards.
- Review of test results and modification of tests if necessary.
- Reporting on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the activity or project, and on system quality and metrics on test cases.
- Specification of requirements for environment, data, resources and tools.
- Provision of specialist advice to support others.
- Investigate problems in systems, processes and services, liaising with a number of teams across the department to gather information and solve problems, issues and risks. Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
- Work on concurrent activities and projects as directed.
About You:
As the Senior Test Lead, you will have:
- experience coordinating individual/team workloads for complex deliveries across different environments and with changing timeframes and multiple stakeholder involvement
- experience with developing and/or managing quality, standards, guidelines and processes
- knowledge and experience in a range of types of testing
- flexible team player with strong verbal and written communication skills adaptable across multiple levels of individuals
- knowledge and experience with school, finance and/or mobile applications
