About the Role:

Responsibilities include:
Within the scope of the Responsibilities in the Role Description, the Senior Support and Engagement Officer, ICT Resources and Initiatives supports the delivery of the Student Technology Equity Partnership initative.

This includes:

  • Adhering to established business processes to resolve customer requests, including issue investigation, problem solving and escalating unresolved requests as appropriate.
  • Providing advice, consultation and communication with clients on policies, standards, systems and practices relating to the team's services in accordance with customer needs.
  • Maintaining the team knowledge base and information pages, including responding to customer feedback and updating knowledge to improve available information and support self-service where appropriate.
  • Coordination of purchasing and procurement processes to support team services in accordance with the department's purchasing and procurement procedures.
  • Prepare and review materials, correspondence, reports and other documentation for senior departmental officers, boards, committees, government agencies, customers and stakeholders on matters related to the team's services.

  • Be a team player with experience working with internal and external stakeholders and colleagues in other teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines, attending to detail at all times.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions to emerging problems.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate in a clear, succinct and deliberate manner, adjusting the message so that it resonates with different stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a large, complex, operating environment.
  • Understanding of, or experience in, an education context.
