About the Role 

We are seeking a talented Senior Strategy Analyst to join our Strategy team and play a key role in shaping CECG's strategic initiatives. The Senior Strategy Analyst is a highly technical role and a key part of the Strategy team’s data capabilities. The role will be required to support CECG’s enterprise reporting framework, develop business models, manipulate data, and provide ad-hoc analyses to support the CECG Executive Leadership’s decision-making of strategic changes in the organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Employ statistical and data manipulation tools, such as R and Python, to clean, process, and transform large datasets.
  • Utilise data visualisation programs, such as Power BI, to communicate key trends, insights from the data to CECG Executive leaders.
  • Author detailed reports on an ad-hoc basis for internal and external stakeholders to support in cross-functional team initiatives and to support CECG in achieving its strategic objectives.
  • Produce business models to assess capacity requirements across the System of schools, through a robust framework and detailed analysis.
  • Forecast enrolment and demographic data to inform strategic capital investment decisions and strategy development.
  • Develop scenario-based models to assess the potential impacts of varying strategies within the capital investment plan.
  • In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, design, development and management of an overarching enterprise reporting framework and the development and delivery of dashboard reporting against key business metrics and generation of key insights.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to interrogate and analyse business data to provide the senior management team with business intelligence to inform business decision-making in line with the strategic plan.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business or related field are essential.
  • Extensive experience within a similar role in a similar-sized organisation.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Driver’s License.

Selection Criteria

  1. Ability to synthesis multiple data sets and provide meaning insights and reports, presented in high-quality reports.
  2. Proven ability to produce business models such as forecasting models and capacity models.
  3. Strong experience in working with business intelligence and statistical tools, such as PowerBI and R, and advanced in the use of MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel, Powerpoint.
  4. Experienced strategy analyst within a management consulting team or a corporate strategy team to support business strategy development is desirable.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with schools and other stakeholders.
