About the Role 

The Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). 

The Senior Strategy Analyst plays a vital role within the Strategy team, supporting the development of CE’s strategic initiatives. This position provides crucial insights and analysis to aid Executive Leadership in decision-making and driving strategic changes across the organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of CECG’s strategic plan and establish the necessary collaboration, processes and procedures to ensure the strategic plan cascades and aligns with CECG office functional business plans and schools’ annual plans.
  • Support the development of frameworks to assess capacity requirements across the System of schools, through a robust framework and detailed analysis.
  • Forecast enrolment and demographic data to inform strategic capital investment decisions and strategy development.
  • Support the development of the enrolment growth strategy.
  • Help drive strategic improvements as part of the annual enrolments policy and process review.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to interrogate and analyse business data to provide the senior management team with business intelligence to inform business decision-making in line with the strategic plan.
  • Manage the regulatory data collections to Australian Government’s Department of Education and state and territory education departments, including Non-Government Schools Census, Student Residential Address Collection and others.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business or related field are essential.
  • Extensive experience within a similar role.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Driver’s License.

Selection Criteria

  1. Experienced strategy analyst with a strong track record in successfully working on strategic projects within strategy management consulting team or corporate strategy team to support business strategy development.
  2. Strong statistical and business analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and within the context of CECG.
  3. Strong experience in working with business intelligence tools, such as PowerBI.
  4. Proven financial and business acumen, financial planning/analysis skills.
  5. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite especially MS Excel.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with schools and other stakeholders.
  7. Understanding of project management principles and ability to manage small projects independently.
