About the Role
The Australian Schools Anti-Bullying Collective supports Australian school communities with evidence-informed resources and activities to implement proactive approaches to bullying education and prevention.
The role of the Senior Project Officer will help contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communication activities for the annual Bullying No Way Week across Australia and in Queensland, liaising with stakeholders to provide guidance and support, ensuring successful project delivery. You will also lead the marketing and promotion, including digital marketing, of other bullying prevention education resources developed by the Australian Schools Anti-Bullying Collective.
As the Senior Project Officer - Student Support, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing advice, developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies, managing all aspects of designated events for the annual Bullying No Way Week, from initial scoping and planning, through to execution and final evaluation.
- Undertaking specific projects, including communication planning and scheduling, distribution of materials, preparation of media releases, articles and social media content, and implementing promotional launches, displays and other special events.
- Working closely with the Principal Advisor, Marketing and Communication, in relation to preparation of communication activities aligned with the national campaign and school engagement materials.
- Consulting with a range of internal and external stakeholders and assisting to disseminate project information.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess and can demonstrate the following key attributes:
- Displays initiative and demonstrates the ability to perform autonomously, co-ordinate multiple tasks, prioritise work demands and meet deadlines.
- Maintains accurate records and demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of digital marketing and event management platforms, such as social media, search engine marketing and EventsAir.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) including the ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely.
