About this Role

As a Senior Project Officer, with the Mount Isa Education Precinct, you will be expected to:

  • Have a deep understanding of the Mount Isa community
  • Be able to work with both government and non-government organisations
  • Connect community partners with key school personal and connect key school staff with external organisations
  • Foster collaboration between schools, community partners, and government agencies to deliver locally responsive, integrated strategies to enhance student engagement and belonging.
  • Lead precinct projects and working parties to develop and implement key precinct initiatives
  • Understand the barriers that some young people and their families face in successfully accessing education and work to address these barriers
  • Form and maintain strong partnerships with First Nations communities, government agencies and community groups to support student success.
