Your Role:

As a Senior Project Officer, you will work within the ISP unit to manage the application process for overseas students who want to study at a Queensland state school. Overseas students are provided with the support and encouragement they need to realise their potential in a welcoming, inclusive and accessible learning environment.

The position reports to the Manager, Client Services, International Student Programs, and is located in Brisbane. You will be part of a large and diverse work team.

Responsibilities include:

  • pre-assessing overseas student applications
  • developing and implementing an ISP application process that works towards faster processing of applications
  • ensuring effective and efficient management, strategic direction and operational procedures of the ISP application process
  • managing change in the ISP unit in relation to ISP application processes
  • working with schools to ensure they comply with legislative obligations and DEi policies and procedures
  • working with the ISP unit to ensure EQI Client Services standards are meet
  • leading the quality assurance processes for applications, including developing and implementing action plans
  • providing high-quality and responsive service delivery to clients and stakeholders, including coordinating and liaising with stakeholders
  • providing authoritative advice to the Manager, Client Services, Director, ISP, and Director, International Business, on matters relating to prioritising applications
  • analysing data and trends to identify opportunities and risks to application processes and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • responding to change and challenges with innovative solutions to achieve outcomes
  • other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or Director, ISP.
