About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide cultural advice and guidance to support case navigation for individual students with a focus on transition pathways in the South East Region.
- Plan and coordinate professional development programs and education and training activities for school-based staff and students.
- Develop and provide support service programs for schools that will assist in encouraging the educational participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Undertake project planning, analysis, integrate project activities and evaluate the impact of projects and initiatives in line with improving engagement and academic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Work collabratively with regional team members across business units.
About You
Desirable skills and knowledge;
- Sound understanding across educational contexts including early childhood, primary and secondary
- Effective data analysis skills
- Strong understanding of First Nations peoples cultural contexts across South East Region
A mandatory requirement of this role is:
- For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
Verification of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Island heritage
- For administrative purposes, in relation to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role, an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a person who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is either:

- By definition a person who is not an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cannot be employed (on any basis) to perform the duties of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role.
