About the Role

As the Policy Officer within Governance, Strategy and Planning, Strategy and Performance Branch your responsibility will be to deliver on the following priorities:

  • Coordinate and contribute to departmental and whole of government reporting and planning activities, such as the Annual Report, specific purpose plan reporting and operational planning.
  • Provide technical support for the department's project management system, Enterprise Project Online
  • Assist the Principal Policy Officer to manage improvements to Enterprise Project Online system and support its users through the change process
  • Mature departmental approaches to project management and contribute to the development of project management resources and capability building

About You

We are looking for a Senior Policy Officer who has the following attributes:

  • The ability to research and analyse issues, communicate complex information in clear and user-friendly products, and make informed recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills and a commitment to customer service;
  • The ability to use or quickly acquire knowledge and capability in IT systems (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft Project)
  • High level writing and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and coordination skills.
